Former wine estate located 18 kilometers from Saint Emilion and its prestigious vineyards, Domaine de Rateau is only 40 km from Bordeaux and its international airport.

Charming old country house with two hectares of park with hundred-year-old trees, swimming pool of 7 x15 meters , and four comfortable rooms tastefully renovated, Rateau is a peaceful and restful place, where you will be received in the rules of the art of French hospitality.

 

On reservation, Emmanuelle Hardouin Duparc will welcome you to her table d'hôtes where you can feast on seasonal products, accompanied by Bordeaux wines or local craft beers...

The large atelier on the south facade is at your disposal as a space for relaxation and leisure: lounge area, library, piano, table tennis, board games.

Domaine de Rateau exhibits works of art all year round that you can admire in the rooms and common areas, and organizes Leisure Relaxation stays (see Section "Courses").

Fans of forest walks will find their happiness close to the domain, those who like rivers for fishing or canoeing will find in the immediate vicinity of the domain how to satisfy their passion on the Dronne or on the Isle.

The Abbey of Guitres offers organ concerts and musical events in summer season. Horse lovers will find many stud farms and horse clubs in the surrounding area. The surroundings are rich in historical and cultural heritage all year round.

For safety reasons (small pond, electric fences, proximity to horses), Domaine de Rateau is not suitable for children under 10 years old.
